These top-tier Raven skills should be prioritized by Stealthy Valhalla players right away.
The original Assassin’s Creed game came out a few years ago, but Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla still has hundreds of hours of playable material between the base game and DLCs like “The Siege of Paris” and “Wrath of the Druids.” Like its predecessor, AC: Odyssey, AC: Valhalla is focused on open-world exploration and non-linear progression. It also has three skill trees that can be unlocked to suit different player styles and tastes.
The Raven Skill Tree allows you to be more sneaky, dodge, deflect, and use the game’s assassination skills better. It also raises your character’s stats and gives items that goes with that skill tree statistical advantages. The Raven Skill Tree has a lot to offer people who like to kill their targets from a distance, use poison as a classic assassin’s tool, or just want to sneak in and out without alerting the guards.
Advanced Assassination
Advanced Assassination, as the name suggests, lets Eivor quickly kill higher-level enemies (or at least do a lot of damage to them) by pressing the right button at the right time. Players who can get the jump on their target can find this very useful during boss fights of all levels, from small to major.
Instead of fighting a tougher enemy face-to-face and risking being seen by other guards, Eivor can use Advanced Assassination to either kill the enemy or do a lot of damage to them in a deadly sneak attack.
Auto Loot
For some reason, this skill is tucked away further at the back of the Raven Skill Tree. However, it is very useful. When a player gets it, the loot that an enemy would drop when killed in melee or assassination fights goes into Eivor’s inventory instead.
Not only does this save gamers a lot of time. But it also helps players who have trouble with agility without meaning to. This skill is useful in the main story, the ending, and any DLC content. It’s especially helpful when sorting salvageable items, crafting materials, and other things.
Backstab
Even though the name of this skill might make you think it has something to do with killing people, Backstab is most useful in the one-on-one or group close fights that happen a lot in AC: Valhalla. Backstabs will knock back opponents who are being attacked straight from behind, dealing them extra damage that their defense can’t protect them from.
You can improve this skill even more by using different weapons, runes, and armor sets. It’s also worth noting that, unlike some other skills in AC:Valhalla, the Backstab perk applies to damage done before the fight even starts and to damage done from behind during combat.
Breakfall
To their disappointment and anger, too many players who have tried new games have found that the difference between a safe jump and an accidental fatal fall can be very small.
Because of this, in a game where you have to constantly climb and quickly descend different kinds of tall structures, Breakfall makes Eivor roll when she falls from dangerous heights, instantly lowering the damage she takes. It can save people a lot of trouble, but some fall heights are too high for even Breakfall to make them safe.
Brush With Death
Addition of Brush With Death to Eivor’s skills is likely to make fans very happy who miss the perfect insta-kill counters and assassination loops found in earlier AC games. By timing Eivor’s dodge just right to avoid enemy hits, players enter “bullet-time” for a few seconds. Which lets them do important tactical moves like circling behind enemies to use Backstab to its fullest.
Players can not only stop Eivor and deal extra damage, but it can also be very helpful to take a break in the middle of a fight to eat some food and heal up, especially during long fights.
Chain Assassination
You can use the Chain Assassination ability to quickly and quietly kill groups of enemies. But it’s not quite as useful as the AC: Odyssey Rush Assassination ability. Once Eivor has Chain Assassination, she can launch an ax pulled from the first target quietly at a second target within range, killing them instantly. With this skill, players can kill multiple enemies at once without telling nearby guards. Or they can end group fights before they even start.
Chain Assassination is very useful for tasks that need to follow targets without setting off alarms. And get rid of groups of rooftop archers before going for a kill from above.
Counter Roll
Counter Roll can pay off huge for players willing to risk Eivor’s safety. Similar to the high-risk, high-reward methods that assassins have used throughout the series. Following the acquisition of Counter Roll, players can use this skill by dodging Rune Attack attacks just before they hit. While Brush With Death and Counter Roll work well together, Counter Roll and Backstab work even better. It helps block attacks that players normally can’t stop.
Please keep in mind that Brush With Death will only work. If an enemy is using a Charged Rune Attack and not a normal Rune Attack. Pay close attention to the color of the enemy’s attack to avoid getting hurt or being let down.
Miasma
This Raven Skill Tree ability might not be traditionally sneak. But Miasma is a stealth build that uses Eivor’s best friend to kill hordes of enemies without moving. Assassination and poison have a long past in the franchise. So Miasma tells players to get good at using poison weapons that can kill.
When an enemy that is hit by Eivor’s poison DOT (damage over time) dies. They let out a bright green cloud of deadly gas. This cloud can quickly turn a group of enemies that are close together into tools for their own destruction. Because Templars are the only enemies that can’t be poisoned, this skill is very useful.
Missile Reversal
Mastering the timing of enemy hits is important in AC: Valhalla, as it is in many other games. However, Missile Reversal can really change Basket Random, especially when Eivor faces some of the toughest enemies they will face on their epic journey. While Eivor has Missile Reversal, she can fire any missile at a long enemy. Whether it’s an arrow, a cannonball, an incendiary mine, a poison flask, or a javelin.
Not every projectile can be turned around by Missile Reversal, but the sheer satisfaction of frequently killing enemies with their own weapons makes this too good to pass up. Plus, it keeps any archer from being too nosy for their own good. Players can even use Missile Reversal to beat tough enemies without getting too close. As long as they are ready to keep getting hit by strong ranged attacks.
Predator Bow Combo
The Raven Skill Tree benefits players who know that a headshot is the best way to kill an enemy in AC: Valhalla. It is the strongest bow type compared to light bows and hunter bows. Some stronger enemies will be able to block or dodge arrow attacks completely. But the Predator Bow Combo is good for people who like to aim for the head.
For each good headshot that happens quickly after the last, it does more damage to the enemy. The Predator Bow Combo is a great item to buy. If you like sneaking up on enemies from far away and hitting them in the head with arrows to deal more damage.
